Pablo Picasso Spanish, 1881-1973

“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” - Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and stage designer, widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

Born in Malaga, Spain, Picasso's artistic talent emerged early. He co-founded Cubism, an revolutionary art movement that deconstructed reality into geometric forms. Throughout his long career, Picasso experimented with various styles, including Blue Period paintings filled with emotion and Rose Period works bursting with color. One of his most famous paintings, Guernica, is a powerful anti-war statement.
