Swiss-born painter Jean Crotti (1878-1958) explored various artistic movements. He started with traditional training but soon embraced Cubism and Orphism. Fleeing WWI, he found himself in New York City experimenting with Dada alongside Marcel Duchamp. Back in Paris, he married Suzanne Duchamp and co-founded the "Tabu" movement. Crotti's artistic journey reflects the evolving styles of the early 20th century.
